Much of my world view and impetus to chronicle was mudged by the writing of the late, great soul, Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. And almost every night my wife and I attempt to commit boku-maru before attempting to sleep.
I was very saddened to hear this last night. We've lost one of the world's greatest humanists. He was nothing if not full of compassion for what it means to be a living being. His last book, "Man Without A Country," was superb. I have been thinking of getting another tattoo based on an illustration from one of his works, and his death serves as an added impetus. I am comforted also by the fact that his work will be read for centuries to come.
Kevan and I discussed the "Kurt is up in heaven now," supplied by the original photo poster. K pointed out that Vonnegut certainly did not believe in heaven. Yep. I think the poster was being a wag.
