African-American singers needed for SLT summer musical: Fats Waller's Ain't Misbehavin

"Shreveport Little Theatre is seeking 3 female and 2 male singers," says Shreveport Little Theater director Robert Darrow, "ages 17 - 65, for the summer musical, Ain’t Misbehavin. It's, of course, based on the songs of Thomas “Fats” Waller."

The comic and musical soul of 1930s Harlem lives on in this rollicking revue that is still considered one of Broadway’s best, says Darrow.

Tuesday, April 10 at 7 p.m.

Alternate audition times may be scheduled by calling the box office at 424-4439. Those auditioning are asked to
* bring accompaniment music on cassette or CD or be prepared to sing a capella.
* bring their personal calendars to discuss any possible rehearsal date conflicts.

The performances will be in early July. Evening rehearsals will begin in late May.
