Tatiana Mitchko shares top Wideman Piano Competition honors with Ji-Yeon Shin

Tatiana Mitchko, Russian pianist studying at Park Univeristy, Missouri, shared the Gold Medal in the Wideman Piano Competition, Shreveport, with Korean Ji-Yeon Shin, who studies at Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Ohio.

Mitchko, who was listed in the Shreveport competition as Tatiana Mitchko Tessman, is one of 30 contestants in the World Piano Competition.

The Bronze Medal was awarded to Michael David Mizrahi. Christine Bethanne Johnson, Megan Glover and Chia-Lin Yang won special recognition awards. Marko Pavlovic won the honorable mention prize.
