Highland and Cedar Grove will be organizing peace marches in response to the shootings this month and in an effort to get caring neighbors visible and united to show that we are standing for communities that are safe and loving, says Alex Hensley. The Highland Peace March is Saturday, starting at 10am in Columbia Park. Bring your friends, family, and encouraging/positive signs that show what we are For, not against. Here are some examples:
"We Love Highland"
"Less Shooting, More Caring"
"Know Your Neighbor"
"Make Friends on Your Block"
Etc.

Here's the March Route for Saturday:
Start at Columbia Park @ 10am
Head North on Creswell
East on Wyandotte
South on Highland
West on Columbia
End up back at the park
As of now, we will be walking on the sidewalks, not in the streets.
