Austin-based singer-songwriter Charlie Faye is earning wide praise on her ambitious ten-city tour, “Travels With Charlie,” during which she spends one month in every city, establishing a temporary home in each location along the way, says Brady Blade.

Charlie Faye has spent a month in Tucson, Portland, Los Angeles, and Boulder, and will establish a temporary home in Shreveport, LA in May. The tour, which has generated attention from American Songwriter, Magnet, Willamette Week, Teen Vogue and the Oregonian, embodies Charlie Faye’s adventurous spirit, enabling her to become a part of the local community, set up residencies, form a new band and ultimately record a song with the band in each city.

In Shreveport, Charlie Faye will partner with Blade Studios, which prides itself on promoting and fostering local artists in the region. While in Austin performing for SXSW, Charlie established a rapport with Blade studios founder, Brady Blade.

Says Blade of Charlie Faye’s visit to the city, “Charlie Faye’s journey will now include the rich musical tradition of Shreveport. She will performing alongside and in support of local artists…it’s a win-win for our community.” During the month of May, Shreveport’s Bear’s CafĂ© will be hosting her residency, where Charlie will be playing every Wednesday night. Charlie will also play at the Noble Savage on Tuesday, May 18.
