In the Festa Italiana concert Pieralberto Cattaneo conducts a 16 member chamber orchestra of local professional musicians in a concert of rare gems of music by Antonio Salieri, Gaetano Donizetti, Sevario Mercadante, and Pietro Morlacchi. The concert features flutist Marco Carbotta as well, says John Goddard.
The concert is on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 9, 2010 at 3:00 pm in the sanctuary of St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 Patton Avenue, Shreveport LA.
General Admission tickets are $20 sold at the door beginning one hour prior to the concert.
Advance tickets may be purchased online at www.gsnla.org or by calling toll-free 1-800-957-8667 (service charges apply). Students with ID may purchase $5 tickets at the door prior to the concert.
