Words on the untimely passing of playwright Judi Ann Mason by Angelique Feaster

Greetings Family & Friends,

Last night, my beloved aunt, Judi Ann Mason passed away. As many of you know, she has been an amazing influence on my life and life's work, as well as the life's work of many others.

Aunt Judi was truly a visionary--a beacon of light, inspiration, empowerment, encouragement and much, much more to so many people. I thank God for blessing us to share time and space with Aunt Judi--a phenomenal woman of God, who possessed unwavering faith in all things. She used her God-given gifts to the fullest and made a lasting impact on the national and international landscape of African American AND American theatre, Hollywood television, and film. Her life's work and legacy will live on in our hearts and through our good works.

I ask that you send up prayers to our family--her daughter and son, siblings, relatives, and friends. For God will see us through the heartache and pain--and will give us peace in knowing that all is well, she is eternally well.
