Great Expectations: Master Plan community visioning forum Sat, Aug 22, at Shreveport Convention Center

Join your friends, neighbors and co-workers at the Convention Center and help plan for the future of Shreveport – Caddo at this exciting hands-on community forum on Sat, Aug 22, says the city's Metropolitan Planning Commission at ShreveportCaddoMasterplan.com. Up to 800 people – young, middle-aged, elders, natives, newcomers – will spend an exciting day exploring what makes our community great – and what needs to change if we are to become the community we envision. Working in small groups, people from across the city will get to know each other and share perspectives.

Thanks to digital technology, every person will have a keypad (like a tv remote) for polling, and each table will have a laptop linked to a large screen – so we’ll all be able to see how we’re thinking during the day. Together, we’ll tell each other what we want Shreveport – Caddo to become over the next twenty years.

At the end of the Forum, participants will leave with a summary of the day’s work. Breakfast, lunch and childcare will be provided for this FREE event!
