Experimental, electronic music by JB23, AKA Robbie Cluck, at Artspace, Fri, Aug 5, 9 - 11 pm


JB23, aka poet-singer-musician Robbie Cluck, will perform experimental, electronic music at artspace on Friday, August 5, from 9 p.m. until 11 p.m.

JB23 combines found instruments like tape recorders, toy keyboards and radios with digital signal processing and computer synthesis to create original compositions, according to his bio. JB23 is "the creative media by which the artist attempts to paint a soundscape, transporting the listener, taking them on a journey through a post-apocalyptic world of dead machinery and haunting radio transmissions plucked from the ether.”

JB23 has been called “meditative”, “surreal,” and “haunting."

He makes some awesome jungle and ragga remixes of Tweet and R. Kelly songs, too, but for some reason, we never get to hear those.
