SRAC's Trolley Tour for Thursday, March 19, 5 pm to 8 pm, opens like sweet olive:

- toasty smells wafting from Michael Chisum's cooking at the cafe' @ artspace
- the strumming of Julia Foley's open mic night at artspace
- Tattoo photos and paraphernalia in the History of the American Tattoo exhibit
- the Zach Skelton exhibit at coolspace (upstairs)

On the trolley, no charge visits to
- Historic YMCA
- Louisiana State Exhibit Museum
- Barnwell Garden and Art Center
- Scottish Rite Temple Building

My favorite territory and strong recommendation is the Zach Skelton exhibit. This former New Orleanian - a Katrina transplant - has a wacky and charming way with portraits and landscapes. He sold 13 pieces of work at his opening, says Bonne Summers. He's the most appealing emerging artist I've seen here in quite a while.
