Shreveport, Louisiana in 1963.

former students who were arrested and featured in the documentary “Beyond
Galilee”

Route
commemorates the historic student protest and march which lead to the mass
arrests of Booker T. Washington High School Students.

Parade begins
at Little Union Baptist Church and ends at Booker T. Washington High School on
Milam Street
§
There will be
a special celebration hosted by the BTW Alumni Association immediately after the
parade.

Civil Rights Celebration and Worship Service

§ Culminating event open to the public. ALL faiths and denominations are welcome to
