Salon de Shreveport call to artists in Highland area by Noel Memorial United Methodist Church, Aug 7 deadline

Title: Salon de Shreveport
Sponsor: Noel United Methodist Church Community Arts Program
Venue: Volunteers of America/Highland Center @ 520 Olive Street, Shreveport
Juror: TBD
Eligibility: Open to artists over the age of 18 who have resided/worked in, or contributed artistically to the Highland Neighborhood in Shreveport, LA. Entries must be original works; giclees and/or high-quality prints of artist’s original work may be sold during the public exhibition.
Artist Responsibilities: Entries should include: artist’s resume’, contact information, digital samples of at least 5 original works for consideration, and a brief description of the artist’s connection with Highland Neighborhood. All 2D work will be displayed in a salon-style installation. All 3D art (including jewelry) must be installed and removed by the artist; artist must provide pedestal/ covered table/display case, if required. Either the artist or his/her representative will be responsible for all artwork sales. Artists are responsible for payment of state and local sales taxes. Artists’ information will be included in a salon catalogue.

The Salon de Shreveport will be August 27-28, held at Lila's Deli and Bakery at 440 Olive Street. (The Highland Center is doing construction)
