Michael Butterman and the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra will be performing alongside the Arklatex Youth Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, May 30, at 5:00 p.m. at the auditorium of Byrd High School, says Leah Escude.
That's the best and brightest of our regional youth plus the two best directors in the region in addition to the orchestra.
Everyone is encouraged to attend. Admission is free to the public.
Of the fate of the SSO, Mrs. Escude added, "There still looks like there may be a future. Both sides of the negotiation process are still in talks. At this point, I take that as a positive sign. Hopefully, more definitive details should be available this week."

The youth are the orchestra players of tomorrow! They deserve a big hand of applause and people to show that they care about the future of symphonic music in Shreveport.
