Artspace Shreveport opens three new exhibitions on Pop culture on Friday, May 21, says Pam Atchison. In these shows the artists use mass-produced visual commodities to create art.
Pop! works occupy mainspace: see a world of art assembled via the medium of bubble wrap.
Upstairs is a technicolor pop art solo show by painter Tony Reans. Also see the graphics show Bubble Rap 3, curated by Michael Glenn Moore.
Doors open at 5:30 pm, says Megan Porter. Expect a performance by Dirtfoot at 7 pm. Also on tap is a fashion show from designer Tiffany Shemise Walker. The reception is a ticketed one: $10.
