"Shreveport Farmers’ Market will open for the fall season on Saturday, October 27, at 8:00 am," says Noma Fowler-Sandlin.

"Fall produce will be available, plus ethically-produced meats, Gulf Shrimp, artisan sausages, and a variety
of home-canned and home-baked goods."

The Market Café will offer a variety of ready to eat foods from cultures, and domestic, old-fashioned favorites. Music will further enhance the outdoor dining area in the Market Café tent. An array of
crafts will also be included.

Typical crops for the fall season include sweet potatoes, Satsuma oranges, winter squashes, fall
tomatoes, pumpkins, and various greens.

The market takes place on Saturdays from October 27 to November 17, from 8:00 a.m. until noon, under the East Pavilion and tent in Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport.
