Sankofa Gardens is a Shreveport school and community center operated for these 8 years by Leia Lewis Henderson with the aid of her family and neighbors, especially those from Pamoja Society and the Nubian Express.
Located within the shadow of LSUHSC, the house and garden serves a lovely neighborhood that lies to the west of Linwood Ave. It is both a Creativity Center and Food Oasis.
