Atmospheres from As We March Towards the Sea @ RFC on Fri, July 23, 9:30 pm, Sat, July 24 at 3 pm

Listening to the Shreveport-based group As We March Towards the Sea evokes the vibe of Pink Floyd, Tortoise, Miles Davis, King Crimson and other adventurers in the sonic aestherium.

The young quartet will perform a soundtrack to the silent movie Faust (1926) on Fri, July 23, at Robinson Film Center. There is an additional performance on Sat, July 24, at 3 pm.

"Tune in to Red River Radio Thursday, July 22, at 10:01. We will be talking about the performance coming up that week end and stuff. Come out for Faust that weekend at the Robinson," says the group on Facebook.

Seems to us a very urbane moment in the mid-summer doldrums. RFC proves itself available to local talent and to a bit of adventure. They stand to help AWMTTS make new friends and perhaps up the level of art music consciousness here.
