Broadway and television veteran Rosemary Prinz will star in Memoir, a play by John Murrell, which closes the season for River City Repertory Theatre, says Patric McWilliams.
It’s the last summer for Sarah Bernhardt, the most famous and revered actress in history. She’s dictating her memoirs to her loyal manservant, Georges Pitou. As she digs deeply into her memory, her private and professional recollections flow together to recreate a past filled with theatrical highs and personal heartbreak.
Prinz stars as Sarah Bernhardt. Dallas-based Brian Mathis is Pitou.
Prinz has starred on Broadway, Off-Broadway and across the country in national tours, regional theatres and summer theatres, in more than 300 productions in her long stage career.
Mathis is an actor who has appeared in national tours of numerous popular dramas. Additionally, he has performed roles at Casa Manana, Alabama Shakespeare Festival and the Tennessee Repertory Theatre.
Directed by Patric McWilliams, River City Rep’s Artistic Director, with Set Design by Tom Serio, Light Design by Neil Ingles, Costume Design by Patric McWilliams and Original Music/Sound Design by Kermit Poling.
Opens July 7th with additional performances July 8th, 9th and 10th at 7:30 p.m. and a matinee, July 11th at 3:00 p.m.

Wow. How cool is it to get Ms. Prinz here to be a part of Shreveport theater? I remember seeing her on As The World Turns and later, on All My Children. I think it's great that River City Theatre is bringing these actors to our community.
