The Shreveport Regional Arts Council and artspace invite local artists to apply for an opportunity to work alongside renowned artists Chris Fitch and Doug Fitch in the creation of a large-scale, 3-dimensional art
installation in the mainspace gallery of artspace at 710 Texas Street in downtown Shreveport, says Megan Porter.
This installation is to express the nature of waste. It is called La Plus Belle Poubelle, or
“Economy of Means in a Mean Economy.”
The result will be conceived as an improvisatory sculptural environment, creating a landscape built from found and/or
discarded materials and objects around Shreveport.
