Budgeteers are going to resist the idea, but I think the tone of Shreveport's art offerings could be enhanced by the addition of large image panels displayed outside the facilities.
I can't think of a better way to spend any kind of dollars, public or private, than to place a piece of beauty into our environment. Be not afraid of art and culture! And better yet, be not afraid to make money from art and culture!
Will it cause a furor? Will there be wailing and gnashing of teeth? Will many resist it and call it a disgrace, a waste or even, "if that is art then..."
Sounds like as solid proposal for public art to me.
If music was trash, could you put it in a garbage can with a lid on it? Then, it must not be trash.

Who will pay for it and who chooses the art?
As long as it is done without tax dollars an posted as to not be a distraction to drivers or an eyesore go for it
