Jackson and Keele spark East Bank Theater's musical comedy Pete n Keely; opens Fri, May 4, at 8 pm

The new East Bank Theater musical comedy Pete 'n' Keely stars song-and-dance road buddies Trey Jackson and Anna Maria Sparke Keele. Riding shotgun is another stage maven, Joe Todaro, says Richard Folmer. Musical direction is by Rocky Maddox. Choreography by Ginger D. Folmer.

Shreveport-Bossier is a community burly with theatrical energy. Opening this weekend are productions by the Academy of Children's Theater, Shreveport Little Theater and Bossier Parish Community College. And on Sat night Shreveport Opera presents a one-night presentation of Carmen.

But none of it is destined to outpace the production power represented by Folmer, Folmer, Keele, Jackson and Todaro at East Bank.

2 p.m. Sunday and May 13.
East Bank Theatre, 630 Barksdale Blvd., Bossier City.
