Doyle Jeter: NE La Celtic Fest
Originally uploaded by trudeau
Doyle Jeter, proprietor of Enoch's Irish Pub in Monroe, points out that almost all the good souls of North Louisiana have Celtic blood. And that his fest, the Northeast Louisiana Celtic Festival, provides them with insight into their heritage.

In truth, the fest is predictably heavy on Irish culture. That's because the Irish have done a better job than others at keeping the Celtic world alive.

See the free event in Forsythe Park, Monroe, on Sat, Oct 16, 10 am to 9 pm.
