LDEQ's new enviro-school comes to Shreveport Tues, May 15, 10 am to noon

Enviroschool is a series of training sessions designed to educate communities and encourage participation in the regulatory
process, says Paul Orr of the La Dept of Enviro Quality. The goal is for communities to become informed participants and skilled on how to access and utilize informational resources for effective communication and dialogue with stakeholders.

Training sessions will focus on a series of regulatory topics. The first session in this series will be: LDEQ 101: Understanding the Agency
This session will focus on:
* understanding the mission and new vision of the agency
* challenges and opportunities
* the organization and function of each office and division

* May 15, 2008, 10 am - noon, Shreveport
