Enjoy listening to NPR? Check the Red River Radio summer pledge drive at Redriverradio.org

Red River Radio, the area’s National Public Radio's affiliate, is making headway during their End of the Year Campaign, says Kermit Poling.

The pledge drive began on Thurs, June 2, and is running through Wed, June 8, says Karen Wissing. The station's goal is to raise $90,000 by the end of the month.

“We wanted to get the lion’s share in by Wednesday morning, which we'll do,” said Poling, general manager for Red River Radio. The station is the community’s source for NPR News, classical music and many programs including, “Morning Edition” and “To the Point.”

Operating as a publicly-supported station, Red River Radio depends on contributions from its listeners and conducts three pledge drives throughout the year. During the drives, volunteers from around the area help answer phones and talk on-air with the station's hosts.

To make a pledge, call 1-800-552-8502 or donate online at wwwredriverradio.org.
